Donate to Easy Decal

Why Donate?

Why would you give money to me in return for a free program? Doesn't that contradict the whole notion of 'free'? I guess it does, but that's not the point. The point is there are two good reasons to give me money.

1 - To Say 'Thank You'

If you use Easy Decal and it has saved you time (and unless you've ever made a decal without it, you have no idea how much time - and pain - it has actually saved you), then it'd be really nice if you said 'thank you' to me for developing it. Giving me money is a great way to do this.

2 - To Encourage Me To Improve It

Easy Decal is pretty basic in its current form.
It's much better than anything that's existed before, but here's some features it doesn't have which could be realy cool:

  • Support transparent regions
  • Allow tweaking of decal properties (e.g. size)
  • Drag and drop
  • Previews of decals
  • Automated installation of decals

However, there's no point in me spending more time developing this thing unless people are using it and want to see it improved.

I figure that if people think Easy Decal is good and want it to be better, they'll donate some money. If no one cares then I won't get any money, but at least I'll have saved myself heaps of time improving something no one cares about.

How to Donate

Donations are accepted online through the secure PayPal service.
PayPal allows you to make secure payments over the internet without disclosing your bank or credit card details to the person being paid.

You do not need a PayPal account to make a donation.

How Much?

I'm asking for people to donate $5.

I think five bucks is pretty cheap for a piece of software that saves you hours of time.

I also think it's an amount anyone with a computer can afford, which should mean I get a good indication of how interested people are in seeing it improved.

Disclaimer

I feel it necessary to make everyone aware that:

donating money does not guarantee that Easy Decal will be improved.

I will be assuming that all donations are 'gratitude' payments.
If I get a lot of donations, I'll start to think about releasing some improvements.
I can guarantee, though, that if I get no donations, there will not be improvements.
