About grlea.org
The purpose of grlea.org is to provide software that makes using computers easy and life more fun.
About Graham
My name is Graham Lea and I'm the owner and maintainer of grlea.org. I live in Sydney, Australia , I'm married to Amanda, and I work as a software engineer. I'm also a Christian.
I am not Graham Lea the IT journalist. If you have received spam (junk email) from someone called Graham Lea, it is not from me.
If you'd like to contact me, please feel free to email me.
About the Software
The main reason grlea.org exists is to publish computer software that I have written. Presently, everything I have released is available free of charge.
The purpose of all of my software is to make people's lives easier and more enjoyable. Sometimes the software is aimed specifically at helping software developers (including myself) to write better software with less hassle. Sometimes it's aimed at everyone else, a group I call "humans".
No matter who the target audience of a piece of software may be, I'm a firm believer in the ideal that software should be crafted in a way that makes life easy. Software is a modern tool for helping us achieve goals, but if it makes those goals difficult to reach, then it's not a very good tool.
I believe every piece of software should feel like a brand new power drill that lets you achieve so much more than you could before, not like your grandfather's rusty old hand drill that make you curse more than you ever have before.
Your Privacy
Though this is not a commercial website, I feel a responsibility to let you know about how your privacy is dealt with during your interaction with grlea.org and with me.
Web Browsing Statistics
As people browse grlea.org, data may be recorded about what pages are visited, as is done on almost every web site. This data may be recorded against the IP address of the machine requesting each page, and is used to derive information such as what pages are visited most frequently and how long an individual user spends browsing the website. No information is either received or stored that could personally identify you.
The statistics collected are used for my personal analysis of the traffic on this site and are not used or sold for any other purpose.
Should you decide to send me an email, I will receive your email personally and will not share it with anyone else without your prior consent, though I may, at my discretion, discuss the content of the email with my friends, without disclosing your identity, if I feel its content warrants discussion for any reason.
I may record your email address for later use if it seems reasonable that I may want to contact you in the future about the subject of your email or about anything else. I will never purposefully provide email addresses to a third party either for payment or otherwise. If you are adamant that you do not want me storing your email address, please state so in any correspondence you send me and I will make my best efforts to ensure no trace of your email address is kept on my computer.
